Dog facts, Dogs advice for dog owners

Make your pet dog as much a part of your life as possible, and do all you can to keep him interested, active, happy and comfortable. If your dog is kept outdoors, the advice for the owner is, pet dogs are always to have a fresh supply of water, in winter check frequently to be sure the dogs water hasn't frozen.

Take care to prevent your pet dog from hanging his head out of a moving car window. If you must let your pet dog hang his head out of your car window while you're driving, you better make sure he's wearing goggles, flies, insects, grit and stones can injure your pet dogs eyes and he is also at risk of trying to jump out of the window.

Travel sickness dogs, some dogs constantly get sick when travelling in a car. The symptoms include drooling, shivering and vomiting. You should take care to withhold food and water for a few hours before the journey as this may help. No dog owner should ever leave a pet dog unattended in a car. Even with the windows open, a car can get hot enough to kill your canine pets in a matter of minutes.

It is easy to do dog training in your home, but its not a one way process to train your dog to behave, both the trainer and the pet dog play an important part in the training process. Everyone benefits from dog training care, whether you've just become a puppy owner, had a dog

from a rehoming dogs home or an already established older dog. Dog behaviour training will deepen the bond you have with your canine pet, and will improve his  dog behavior, and make him calmer and more easily controlled. You and your pet dog will be far more relaxed, and so will your family and friends when they come to visit.

Dog walks. In summer, take care to walk your dog early, or later in the day, when it's cooler. When taking your dog to the beach, take care to provide a shaded area and plenty of fresh drinking water. Find shade for your pet dog or leave the beach.

Pet dogs, like their owners, occasionally awake with 'sleep' in the corner of their eyes, a small bead of discharge which is the result of the eye's natural cleaning ability. It is perfectly normal for all dogs to get this now and again. Some large eyed dogs similar to Pekingese or pugs are more likely to get it than some other breeds. If you find sleep in your dogs eyes, take care of this by removing any discharge, gently wipe their eyes with damp cotton wool or tissue, its fine to use tap water. If there is no major sign of discharge throughout the day, then you probably have nothing to worry about.

Kennel cough  is a dog illness which appears when kennel cough dogs have been mixing with other pet dogs at places such as dog grooming parlour, dog agility training clubs, boarding dog kennels, dog field trials, animal rescue centre where they have rehoming dogs or even at your local dog walking beach, where pet dogs meet. It is transmitted through the air. kennel cough symptoms are retching, dry cough and maybe bringing up a little white discharge. Kennel cough treatment, it can be prevented, by vaccination. Kennel Cough sounds much worse than really is. Usually, the signs clear up within seven to 14 days, treated or not. Take care to keep him away from any other pet dogs. If you are unsure you should get advice from your vet, who may give a soothing cough mixture or even antibiotics to guard against any secondary infections.

Mange treatment for dogs
Dog mange is one of those dog ailments that can be mistaken for dog allergies, is caught when your pet dog rubs against something that an infected fox or dog may have rubbed up against. It causes skin irritation and is very infectious and easily spread amongst dogs. Like scabies in humans, tiny parasites bury themselves into the dogs skin, this causes the dog to itch and scratch. If this scratching becomes excessive, it can lead to loss of hair, the good news is, that this is easily remedied, with mange treatment from your vet, your dog should fully recover. Once again, it's important to take advice from your vet any time you think your pet dog has a problem.

Dogs put on weight for many reasons, not enough dog walks, too much of the wrong food, will pile on the pounds rapidly. Dog owners should take care to exercise their dogs, in the mornings and evenings to help keep the weight down, you will find that its good for you both.

Dog nutrition. Which is the best type of dog food? It's down to own personal preference, Some people find that giving their pet dog dry food is more convenient as it creates less mess, you don't have to open tins every day for instance, dry dog foods that are available these days are high quality, it also helps to clean the dogs teeth during the eating process, and dry dog food comes in an assortment of varieties for different breeds and dogs types, this is why it's so popular. Other people prefer tinned dog food because it's what they've always used, and its easy to buy anywhere.
